Post by greenyellow »

Dana Altman has donated the $25K bonus he received for MBB making the NCAA Tournament back to the university's Student in Crisis fund.

His style of offense probably doesn't help his appeal to pro clubs.

Also, IMO , Altman likes to teach and once players go pro, most of them know it all and don’t want to be taught

Agreed. Doesn’t seem there are too many new offenses that can make a big difference with today’s players. Not recreating the wheel here. Just acquire enough long bombers. The Triangle worked with the best player ever, and there are variants of it today. Coaches mainly have to work to their players strengths, not force them into some kind of program, being player movement lately. I doubt he would want to wade into those waters (fingers and toes crossed). Feel pretty confident a few NBA teams have at least taken a sniff of what Altman has done at UO. Crazy good.
