Sabrina has a grade 3 ankle sprain. Those usually take several months to heal.

ESPN reporting that Sabrina is out for "approximately" a month. Could be worse all things considered. The last Liberty game is on Sept.12th. I'm hoping she gets back in time to feature in a game or two.

Missing a month of a vastly shorter season won't help Sabrina's cause in any shape or form.

Satou has a definite shot.

Satou's game was impressive considering she was 0-fer from 3 points. That will come. She did get a lot of offensive rebounds and put backs.

She has a player on her team (Ogunbowale) who is a volume shooter with no conscious. Puts up a ton of bad shots that often miss badly and is a guard who averages barely over an assist a game. If she gets the ball, head toward the basket because your best chance at seeing it again is on an offensive rebound and there will be quite a few long rebound possibilities.

"volume shooter" is a very courteous description. She played the same way at Notre Dame.

New York Liberty rookie Sabrina Ionescu suffered a Grade 3 left ankle sprain when she was injured during Friday's loss to the Atlanta Dream.

The Liberty said Ionescu was still under review by a team of physicians but that doctors believe the injury will not require surgery. A Grade 3 sprain is a full tear of the ankle ligament and usually requires months to fully heal. For now Ionescu will work to decrease swelling and increase range of motion over the next few days.

Satou vs Ruthy tonight, Satou 2-9 shooting and a key turnover late in the game and Chicago won by three.

Bummer. Hope she recovers quickly. She's fun to watch.

The Liberty was struggling with Sabrina. Without her, the first pick in next years draft is very likely, as is an 0-22 record this season.
