Haven't cared as much about an Oregon/Washington basketball game in 5-6 years or so.

That's too bad. There have been some really enjoyable games recently. I went up to Seattle in 2018 for the first time since moving away from there in 2014 to watch the Ducks beat them on their floor. Then last year, there was the very meme-able moment of Oregon beats them in overtime at their place again and Payton Pritchard marches around the floor telling everyone "This is my house" over and over. Just awesome.GrantDuck wrote:Haven't cared as much about an Oregon/Washington basketball game in 5-6 years or so.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love Pritchard doing that last year and that game, I just wasn't excited pre-game.
Both teams haven't been really good at the same time since the Aaron Brooks days.

Still lousy perimeter D... still problems creating shots. Pressuring them into some turnovers though. Good game so far.

8-0 run to end the final 2 minutes of the half and lead 41-31 at half.

Huskies cut the lead down the 5, Oregon really struggling with their outside shooting. Huskies are just collapsing the paint cause nobody on Oregon seems capable of making a consistent three. That could be a problem this season.

Ducks win 74-71 as it comes down to the wire in Seattle again with the same result being an Oregon victory.

At least the Ducks get a some kind of victory against the Puppies today. Ducks will be much better when they get some consistent 3-point shooting back when Richardson returns. Will open it up more for Dante and Omoruyi. Ducks are good early without their pre-season PAC-12 first team dude, which bodes well with Altman’s normal season over season improvement in the 2nd half.

Second half offense get pretty ugly for a while there, the team could use some improved outside shooting. Not sure if it was just a cold night and early season nerves or if we’re just lacking a consistent outside shooter. But this team sure is tough! Dante is looking good, I personally thought he was under-utilized. Dante will only improve, he has a bright future with basketball.

NCAA committee is meeting soon to approve all transfers for this season. Would Estrada still be sitting out this year if that happens? The Ducks could really use his shooting right now.

Team is clearly still finding itself. Omoruyi struggled against the zone quite a bit and with a couple of awful foul calls against him. #Pac12Refs
Nice to see Dante playing better and getting his confidence. Albeit, against some weaker big men...but nice regardless. Now he needs to do it against better competition.
We'll need Figueroa to get his offensive flow going. He's actually a pretty darn good shooter based on %, but does have a rep for being streaky.
In other good news today, Missouri beat 5th ranked Illinois to improve to 5-0. Makes our loss look not so bad!
Hopefully they continue to play well in league in the SEC.
