I'll take it. Thorpe pitched really well too.
A sweep would be awesome. 31-10 (10-5) going into a tough @ OSU series, yes please.

Wow Ducks got a huge break in the top of the 8th. It was two outs with runners on first and second. Wazzu got a hit up the middle, and we picked off their runner at 2nd base, before they scored at home. Very fortunate for UO!
Ducks still lead 2-1 going into the bottom of the 8th.

Re: Washington State @ Oregon (Ducks sweep series 3-0)
i don't really know what to expect next week. we have almost no experience playing top-flight teams. we thought fullerton was elite, and we got swept, only we're finding out now that fullerton isn't even that good (18-16) and will need a major rally to even make the tournament. and then we lost 2 of 3 up in seattle. our two losses were close, but every time we needed to make a play we shrunk under the pressure.
pat casey purposely scheduled a bye this week so that his guys would be 100% rested. i think those yokels would rather cut off their right arms than lose a game in their sport in their house to us. it's baseball so anything can happen, but they have three legit aces so we're going to have to try to grind out a low-scoring win or two. i'm not counting on matt krook, so trent paddon is going to have to pitch another gem (which he gave us yesterday). in our 6 conference games in corvallis (2010 and 2012) it seems like at least 5 of them have come down to a walk-off play, and every single one of them -- literally every single one, we're 0-6 in corvallis pac-10/12 games -- have gone against us.
