Just not our day.. We've had lots of RISP, just not getting them in.greenyellow wrote:Heineman loads the bases on a hit that skipped over the mound and then hit 2B. Let's see if they can get something as this is their best chance to get a run or two.

Cuddy pops up to end the inning. Oregon gets people on but can't get any timely hits.

Ugh, I hoped but I knew that was gonna be an out. So many runners being left stranded.

Rain delay just before the 9th inning starts. Not sure when this game will start again.
Edit: Game will start up again at 2:50 PM.

Kasser leads off the inning with a flyout. Down to their final 2 outs.

Karaviotis gets a 2-out single with Goldfarb up next. Still think it's a bit late though.

Goldfarb outraces the throw to first but he's injured in the process. 2 on now with Catalano running for Goldfarb.

Well Oregon had to at least make it an eventful loss.

Iowa robs Grebeck of at least a single to get the 3rd out and Oregon loses 3-1.

Hard hit last out, couple feet higher and the game is tied

Call me a whiner, but I can't help but wonder what the outcome would've been if the umps called a fair game, however can't blame them. What did Oregon have, 10 hits? You gotta get more than 1 run with that many hits!

Looks like the Missouri St/Canisius game is postponed until tomorrow due to heavy rains and thunderstorms. Oregon and Iowa were playing in intermittent rains throughout the game so it's not all that surprising. I think the weather was really causing havoc with the pitching on both sides, which caused all the hit batters today. Still doesn't get Oregon off the hook for not getting those runners in to score.

Based on a retweet by Oregon Baseball's Twitter account, the team (still in uniform) and a host of reporters are in a hotel tornado shelter due to the inclement weather. Oregon may benefit from this due to the other scheduled game having to be played tomorrow and then having to play Oregon right after.
