After the huge win against #2 Oklahoma, I expected a let down and that’s what I saw. Very sloppy game by the ladies. But their bats carried them. Hopefully they wake up today and play like they are capable of. I’ll bet Mike White chewed on them after the game a bit. Pretty sure he did after 3 errors and misplays, but I think they run rule furd today. :D

4-1. The sloppy play carried over, at least the first inning when Gwen Svekis' throw to an uncovered first base put Stanford in play for an 1-0 lead. Jenna Lilly got the game even quickly with a lead-off home run. Oregon scored one a run in the 3rd, 4th & 5th innings, highlighted by Lauren Burke's triple in the 3rd. Burke and Haley Cruise each went 2 for 3, Mary Iakopo was 3-3. Megan Kleist picked up the win, 7 K's 0 walks.

Ducks get the sweep over the Cardinal with another 4-1 win. Miranda Elish improves to 16-1, 10 K's, one walk, she gave up 2 hits, including a home run in the fourth that tied the game. The Ducks scored first, in the first, a Svekis single bringing in Lilley who had walked to lead off. The rest of the Ducks runs came in the 4th. Haley Cruise brought in Cherish Burk for run number two, Shannon Rhodes was pinch hitting, and after a couple of pitches thought she had been hit. The umpire disagreed, so Rhodes remained at bat, and cleared the bases with a 2 run shot, to make it 4-1.
