Oregon @ Arizona (Oregon losses series 1-2)
Game 1: L 3-9 (L Anderson)
Game 2: L 4-8 (L LaTempa)
Game 3: W 9-8 (W Jones)
Let Pac-10 play begin! 1-2 is probably realistic, but if we could win this series that'd be awesome.

We're on a roll right now. I could see us getting 2 outta 3. So much of baseball is just about confidence & we definitely have tons of it right now.

It will be interesting to see how Horton lines up his pitchers. Anderson is obviously the Friday starter, and I'll take him over just about anyone in the Pac-10. Horton has bee throwing Zach Thornton in the #2 slot, despite the fact that he is (statistically) the least effective of the 4 starters. I think LaTempa is easily our second best pitcher, but I'd throw him on Sunday so we can line him up against Arizona's #3. Throw Kuedell on Saturday, who's good enough to pick up a win if their guy stumbles.

And now the season really begins. Can't wait to see how good Oregon really is....
I think the pitching is for real and will hold up even in the Pac 10, but Oregon's offense still worries me a bit.

Ugh, ducks already down 4-0 in the first. An error didn't help.

Re: Oregon @ Arizona (3 Game Series)
Not a good sign when you throw your best pitcher and the opposing team scores 9 runs. The pac-10 is very good, so we will see what this duck team is made of.

I thought we'd play em close but I also knew it could be a major reality check... we're still super young & we'll have game like this on the road. I still think we'll have a decent pac10 record & finish around .500 but we will struggle against the top teams.

Tyler didn't make it out of the second inning. on the bright side if there is one is that after the 2nd inning the game was basically even

Re: Oregon @ Arizona (3 Game Series)
Arizona won 13 in a row going into Friday night's game. Oregon had won 12 of 13. I really thought this game would be alot closer. Ty struggled. Especially after giving up the Home Run in the Bottom of the 1st. I think the Ducks will rebound after this loss. Tyler Anderson is going to have to expect nights (days) like this. It happens to the best of them. And I think Tyler is a very good pitcher. He is on the Pitcher of the Year watch list. Go, Ducks Baseball!
