#18 Oregon @ Gonzaga (Oregon wins series 2-0)

Post by UOducksTK1 »

Game 1: W 7-2 (W Housey)
Game 2: W 19-0 (W Madison)

Gonzaga has battled with some Pac-10 games, but the way we've been playing lately, we should take both.

Hopefully we'll see Christian Jones go tonight. Haven't heard a ton from him lately.

Gonzaga is a tough out. They aren't afraid to play the Pac-10. I think I said this in another thread, but it seemed like when OSU was winning national titles, they'd sweep top 10 Stanford or USC on a weekend series, trip up to Gonzaga for a mid-week series, and come back to Corvallis with a pair of losses. They've been OSU's kryptonite for awhile now.

I think we saw @ Hawaii what happens when we're out on the road for too long... and we've been on the road for a long time now. Hopefully we're good to go and can get two, but the Zags are capable of putting up a big fight.

Christian Jones has had some nagging injuries that have really hindered him this season. From what has been said about him, he has the stuff to be a top-flight pitcher.

Agreed. He was the #2 guy based on fall/spring practices heading into the season. I expect big things out of him.

for many reasons, but the thing I like best is when you've let your team down with your fielding, you get a chance to make up for it with your bat. Looks like Serna is doing just that...
