Re: MLB Draft
Good for him. After having to sit out a full season, he really showed what he had this past season. Not bad to get picked there.cordy02c wrote:Latempa just went at the end of the 12th round to the angels

Re: MLB Draft
Funny that 2 players with Oregon ties go back-to-back.

Have to believe that unless sabol gets top 5 round money that he more then likely will come to oregon

Re: MLB Draft
Most high school players seem to end up in college if they are drafted below round 5 but Oregon had a couple recruits last year that left after being drafted in some of the later rounds. I have a feeling that we probably won't see Biddle, Sanchez, and Kingman. Robby Rowland seems like someone who wants to go to school, but the money at his level though is hard to pass up.cordy02c wrote:Have to believe that unless sabol gets top 5 round money that he more then likely will come to oregon

Re: MLB Draft
anybody is better than the mariners catchers the last five years. Not only can they not hit, but Rob Johnson leads the major in passballs. Mariners are really hurting. They better not trade cliff lee to the yankees, since I'm a red sox fan.

Re: MLB Draft
Adam Moore is a keeper, he just got called up too soon because Rob Johnson is terrible. He needed another year or so in Tacoma.
I have my doubts that E-Rod translates as a catcher at the next level. Defensively he just doesn't play the position well. I wouldn't be shocked if they moved him to 1B.
