The-top ranked player (No. 130 nationally) in the state of Oregon according to PerfectGame Crosschecker..."

Re: Another top recruiting class
Ha just was about to post this.
Sam Johnson, my brother played baseball against him when they were in middle school. He had a rocket arm, I know that much. And his brother DJ was probably one of the best hitters I've ever seen at the Oregon HS level since Jason Ogata.

The NW produces a LOT of great baseball potential so its awesome to see Coach Horton and Co. clean house again. I think its safe to say that all the $ that was poured into the program/Horton has really paid off. Checketts sounds like a guy we need to keep long-term.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets offered a head coaching job within the next 5 years or gets named head coach-in-waiting at Oregon so he can take over for Horton.Duck07 wrote:The NW produces a LOT of great baseball potential so its awesome to see Coach Horton and Co. clean house again. I have been wondering if Checketts would eventually be Horton's successor.
