Aren't the Utes supposed to be the worst team in the Pac-12 this season? It's so strange, I remember when they had a great program under Majerus..

Didn't they pretty much run Rick out of town?

I believe Rick retired because of health problems. At Utah and very brief tenure at USC.

Doleac, Miller and Van Horn...had some good teams at Utah over the years. Van Horn was a bad ass college player

I always assumed Majerus' health problems were akin to Stan Van Gundy stepping down from the Heat to let Pat Riley step in "to spend time with family." It seemed believable because nobody would question that man had serious health issues, but he accepted the USC job so quickly I don't know. He quit that five days later also for health reasons, sat out a year (or whatever), and has coached St. Louis ever since.

The guy was a walking coronary waiting to happen. He actually sat out 3 years and reportedly changed his eating and exercise habits to better his health. You wouldn't know it by looking at his waistline today though.

utes now barely hanging with san diego christian, one of the worst d2 teams (went 2-12 in league play last year).
