On a brighter note Tessar is doing fairly well, considering the long lay-off.
Great inning for Altobelli.

Re: Ducks Baseball Postseason Thread (Super Regional)
Oregon looked to have a promising 6th inning after a walk and a hit batter put runners and 1st and 2nd with no outs, but I can't help but feel that Horton's small ball ruined any momentum they might have gained. What kind of coach has his 3rd batter do a sacrifice bunt? I know Horton is a small ball guy, but really? That's more of a small balls move than a small ball move in my opinion. Over the top there.

Kent State has dominated this series. They deserve to go to the CWS. They have clearly been the better team.

That center field for Kent State is probably having the time of his life. So many balls hit to him.

Finally! Felt like Kent State was getting so many walks but Oregon couldn't hit anyone in! Two hits is all it took in one inning to tie the game! Love it! GO DUCKS!

I'm surprisingly relaxed. As great as this is, Oregon is in store for better things in the future. Besides, Kent State is way underrated.TualatinDuck wrote:Anyone else on the verge of a heart attack?!!

not at all. we have four above average hitters; jones, healy, thomas, and garlick. healy laying down a sac bunt gives thomas and garlick a crack at driving in a pair. our odds of scoring improve greatly in this scenario.OregonFan4Life wrote:Oregon looked to have a promising 6th inning after a walk and a hit batter put runners and 1st and 2nd with no outs, but I can't help but feel that Horton's small ball ruined any momentum they might have gained. horton did the same thing in the 8th. two on, jones bunts. healy and thomas had opportunities to tie the game, and healy did. horton made the right call.
