47 Alonso, Kiko LB 6-4 246 Sr. Los Gatos, Calif. (Los Gatos HS)
24 Barner, Kenjon RB 5-11 195 Sr. Riverside, Calif. (Notre Dame HS)
93 Beard, Rob PK 6-0 218 Sr. Fullerton, Calif. (Troy HS)
20 Boyett, John FS 5-10 202 Sr. Napa, Calif. (Napa HS)
60 Clanton, Ryan OL 6-5 296 Sr. Bakersfield, Calif. (City College of San Francisco) (Bakersfield Christian HS)
46 Clay, Michael LB 5-11 219 Sr. San Jose, Calif. (Bellarmine College Prep)
61 Cody, Nick OL 6-5 309 Sr. Brush Prairie, Wash. (Hockinson HS)
81 Hoffman, Justin WR 6-1 206 Sr. Eugene, Ore. (Churchill HS)
96 Jordan, Dion DE 6-7 241 Sr. Chandler, Ariz. (Chandler HS)
90 Murphy, Will WR 6-2 186 Sr. Albany, Ore. (West Albany HS)
38 Palmer, Jeff LS 5-10 187 Sr. Dana Point, Calif. (Santa Margarita HS)
65 Remington, Isaac DT 6-4 286 Sr. Queen Creek, Ariz. (Phoenix College) (Valley Christian HS)
49 Rice, Jackson P 6-3 223 Sr. Moraga, Calif. (Campolindo HS)
36 Stewart, Jennings LB 6-3 225 Sr. Grants Pass, Ore. (Grants Pass HS)
10 Vaughn, Rahsaan WR 6-2 193 Sr. Oakland, Calif. (College of San Mateo) (Washington HS)
77 York, Carson OL 6-5 284 Sr. Coeur d’Alene, Idaho (Lake City HS)

Defense and OL take some big hits, otherwise not too bad of a departing class. The one player that caught my eye was Jackson Rice. He's already a senior?? Who is going to take over for him?

Losing Clay and Alonso scares me quite a bit. As for Rice, wouldn't it be that JC guy we picked up last class?

Thanks, he had slipped my mind. He has 3 to play 2 I believe, so might need to add a punter next class.

Losing Clay and Alonso will hurt-it would even hurt more if BoLo were to declare early.

That too would hurt, of course. Big season for development among the younger LB's. So Anthony Wallace, Rodney Hardrick, Carlyle Garrick, Rahim Cassell, Derrick Malone...put your big boy pants on.

Beard, but not Rice? Honestly, Beard was a consistent kicker for us (kick offs too), but nothing amazing. And the guy we just got sounds like he could be a good replacement. And I think Maldonado will be better this season.

I remember Rice getting so excited for his first punt against BSU in the 2008 opener. Crazy to think our four years with that guy have almost come to an end.

And in comparison, Boyett is still on our team. I feel like he's been here for 20 years.

That would be the 2009 season opener.

I am so glad that he returned this season-I was afraid he would declare.
