OT: Roschon Prince to USC

Post by uostudent »

Huge pickup for USC and a bit disappointing for Oregon. He had already been up to Eugene and was planning on taking an OV - I believe in September.

Prince is an extremely gifted athlete who is kind of a swingman. He'll likely play SF in college and would have been a perfect player for the up tempo system that Dana Altman is trying to implement.

Prince's teammate at Long Beach Poly is Jordan Bell, who is an incredible shot blocker and should be a major impact player on the defensive end. Bell is/was very high on Oregon. Let's hope that Prince going to USC doesn't influence Bell.

“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

I was surprised USC got him to be honest. Hope I get surprised again. Need to keep the local studs home (and not at UCLA) like in football.

Braveheart, your new sig pic makes me want to start calling your boy Matty "Goku". A little more height on the hair and it would be perfect :p

And I hope Dion Jordan does the same to him.

Mainly because he injured his ankle and didn't play most of the game.

Are you aware Jordan was dinged up against USC and missed most of the game? Also Boseko Lokombo inexplicably missed much of the contest, as did starting linebacker Dewitt Stuckey. Barkley wasn't touched last year, I doubt he will be as lucky next November.

I remember seeing him in the game, but I didn't know he was limited.

Before this becomes a serious discussion about USC versus Oregon (like every other thread), can we stay on topic? I like a dig, some casual smack-talk here and there, but there's other threads for this.

Oregon has cooled on Jordan Bell actually. Also, it looks like Darrin Johnson has emerged as a target for Duck bball recruiting.

Does anybody know the interest level in Ron Lee Jr, son of the Kamikazi Kid legend?
