Some of you will find that humorous, others won't.

Regardless if you find this humorous or not, it's not a true story.woundedknees wrote:Some of you will find that humorous, others won't.

Re: The Second Amendment...
Didn't suggest it was... However, after witnessing my father-in-law's place being robbed (We live on the same dead end driveway, about 150 yards apart... The guy drove by both myself, and my wife, to get there.), in broad daylight, the week before last, and then having the jerk try to run me down as he drove back to highway 58, I can appreciate the sentiment.
BTW, it was a 1994, blue green, Chevrolet piclup, Oregon license #440BTJ (This was verified by the police, although.) The driver was male, appeared slender, in probably mid thirties, the passsenger was female, in shorts and a tank top, with shoulder length brown hair.
The couple didn't get much, as they departed quickly when the saw me coming.

If I lived in the country around a bunch of crazy rednecks like that I'd own a gun too.
I've got no problem with people on the frontier and in the country owning guns. It made a lot of sense back in the cowboy days and it makes a lot of sense today.
Let's make a deal: you guys get to keep you guns in the country, and we get to restrict them in the city. k?

Having at one time been a deputy sheriff, I shudder to think of the path through the legal system that would ensue, even if a shooting was 100% justifiable, in the eyes of the law.
The actions described in that "article/personal ad", other than pulling the weapon in self defense, are almost universally illegal, even in a state such as Texas. Unless the person handling the gun had a concealed carry permit, even that would be wrong, most places.

Restricting guns in cities is absurd because if someone is intent on committing a crime, a gun restriction is not going to stop them, but it will prevent those who lawfully carry from being able to prevent that crime from going any further.vagusnerve wrote:If I lived in the country around a bunch of crazy rednecks like that I'd own a gun too.
