90 Small Forwards

Post by Zyme »

Top 5 SFs:
Toni Kukoc B- C+ C- C+ C+ C

Very tall finisher next to Vlade Divac after his move from Spilt to KK Partisan. He has a decent jump shot combined with a well polished set of inside moves. He is very good at spacing the floor from the free throw line extended, but tends to struggle when backed out any further. He has a very complete skillset that includes rebounding and might even be considered a hybrid power forward. Defensively, he may struggle against the quicker players and he may get pushed around when he gets swtiched onto true power forwards. Scouts believe he has the skills to stick around in the league for a long time but are concerned that he is playing close to his ceiling.

Lionel Simmons C+ C- D+ A- C+ B

The definition of the safe pick. You will not be drafting a star, but scouts are convinced that you will be seeing this man getting major minutes for the next decade and a half. A solid starter or excellent 6th man at the guard-forward position. Best defender in the class.

Marcus Liberty C+ C C- C B B

Freak of a athlete. He has the skills of a power forward combined with those of a small forward. Very polished rebounder, easily boxing out player twice his size and strength. Combo-Forward, he can step out and hit the 3, but may be best at sticking to the mid-range to point blank range. Scouts at the combine raved about his quick hands.

Cedric Ceballos B C+ C- C C+ A

Small school phenom. He walked all over the Big West Conference, getting whatever shot he wanted with ease. This does beg the question, can he still get off all these shots against vastly improved competition. He was stifling against the rest of the big west, making his opponents work for everything they got, but never seemed to ever get any steals for blocks despite his height. Scouts think his lack of experience on a larger stage will make thing very hard on him.

Kenny Williams C+ C D+ C C+ A

Prep and JuCo Star. Has averaged over twenty and ten since his sophomore year in high school. Scouts believe that best position is probably PF but may get pushed around a lot. Very smooth free throw, but cant seem to hit an open jumper if his life depended on it. Might struggle with turnovers. Scouts think he has solid potential, but his love of kids (and what it takes to get them) might be a bit too much a distraction for him.

Other Small Forward Prospects:

Willie Burton B- B D+ C C C

One of the best scorers in the class. If it were not for his poor handling ability, he would be a candidate to be a high level point guard. Led is team in both scoring and turnovers. Very strong and polished inside skillset from the SF position.

Jud Buechler B+ C- C C+ C B

Solid inside finisher with acceptable defense. Will probably work his way into may a team rotation. Scouts feel he is playing near his potential, but his scoring ability should make him a good 6th man.

A.J. English C+ C C- C D A

Scouts love his smooth jump shot and G/F skillset. Started as a backup at every level and forced his way into the starter position. Very good work ethic that has alloed him to exceed expectations and consistantly improve on every level he has played at.

Anthony Bonner B+ C- D+ C C C

A good inside finisher but has significant flaws in other aspects of his game.Well suited to 6th man in an inside offense.

I would've expected Kukoc to be more highly rated.

He has probably the most balanced ratings of all the SFs. It's just his scouted potential that might cause some people to pass on him. But if the potential is there, he should be a serviceable starter. Also, generally speaking, things in this sim won't always follow suit with how it did in real life. They'll be an occasional curveball here and there (good and bad).
