TV Providers

Post by Bud Lee »

Okay, so this is the thing. I've been with DirectV for 9 years now. I've recently purchased a house and I am trying to decide if I should carry over direct or go with someone new. The local cable sucks ass so that is a no go. My choices are AT&T Uverse, Dish, and Direct.

Pluses of the bat is that Uverse and Dish both offer the SEC network right now and they both power ESPN3 so I can actually watch the games they stream now.

On the other side, I a very comfortable with DirectV. I know what channels are where and I love my receiver that can record 5 shows at one time and that can wirelessly connect to other receivers in the house.

Do any of you have any thoughts on these products? Are they reliable? How much do they cost?

I went with Dish because they had the Pac-12 Networks and a solid amount of sport options for one of the middle packages. Granted, I got a good deal through work, but I've been pleased so far. My first option was Direct tv before I realized they didn't have the Pac-12 Netowrks!

I personally went the route of just buying the internet package from Comcast and a subscription to Netflix . There are a million streaming sites for any sporting event I want to catch live , but I also work nights so I'm never home to watch any good shows to begin with.

My parents have Dish and tend to really enjoy it but here in Florida it does tend to rain and they loose signa.
