People really need to learn to solve their petty personal problems without resorting to violence. Seems people are so mentally weak to not be able to seek help from outside sources before they harm others. There's something about this current generation if kids that is broken since they just don't seem to have good coping or problem-solving skills.

I think it's more of a snowball type issue. Before this wasn't a thought that registered in many people's minds when dealing with things or when they wanted to lash out. But now since it has happened, it's already in people's minds and I fear the more that happen, the more often they will continue to happen.
