Re: basketball rumor
Any word on how White has looked in practice? I totally forgot we had him also for next year.

Re: basketball rumor
Sounds like he's been about as expected in practice. Not the most explosive or athletic but he's smart, rebounds well, and can step out to hit some threes. Most common comparison to past Ducks I've seen for him is Mike Moser, a stretch 4 that should thrive in Altman's system.buckmarkduck wrote:Any word on how White has looked in practice? I would be thrilled if he played like Moser.

He wouldn't be a grad transfer though, he's just a sophomore

Yeah, apparently it's not him. He's been very underwhelming at Duke. I don't think I would take him over the other guys we're chasing.northbeachsf wrote:Hmmmmmm. Wasn't Oregon after this guy in HS?

Re: basketball rumor
Flip side is, redshirt required, so he could be good practice bait, and possibly develop to at least a better version of Sorkin... Potentially a 1-2 year backup?
According to 247, Jeter's Dad says he wants to play in the PAC12.
I have a link, but it's premium... I'm just going off the headline.

"He (Jeter) spoke at length about how he had improved last offseason, particularly at Adidas Nations, but inconsistent play and a back surgery prevented him from making an impact in 2016-17 as Duke relied on Amile Jefferson, Tatum and Harry Giles up front."

Only way Jeter ends up at Oregon is if they have further attrition after accepting McCoy, the potential grad transfer, and possibly one of Tucker, Davis, or Nowell.

Re: basketball rumor
If KBW demands a redshirt year, he is a real transfer candidate. He can only guarantee a redshirt year for himself if he transfers to another D1 program. They would be required to sit him next year. In an emergency, Altman could always insert him off the bench, not that KBW would play particularly well under those circumstances.Duck07 wrote:If we're being real KBW is raw and needs lot of polishing to his game. It's that in today's society it's hard for us to see guys who accept that and don't see it as a negative. If he has any professional aspirations, getting another year under Altman is a great thing for him.

How? He has two more years to play one. Demanding a redshirt and then transferring seems kind of pointless lol.fairweatherfowl wrote:If KBW demands a redshirt year, he is a real transfer candidate.
