Where do you see that Oregon is #2 and FSU is #5?Biggus Duckus wrote:Crazy that Oregon is #2 and just sweeped #5 but they will not be Pac-12 champs.

Re: Oregon Softball
As did I, though FSU is at #7 there. The only actual rankings I see are from May 2 and so haven't been updated yet.

And there's also this ranking: http://www.ncaa.com/news/softball/artic ... ond-top-10. It looks like it's a more meaningful ranking in that it's by a committee that's involved with making the actual selections this coming Sunday. It came out Saturday, the day the Ducks were busy sweeping FSU, so it's also "dated" (FSU #2, Ducks #6).

Re: Oregon Softball
Oregon now 3rd (with five first-place votes) in the updated rankings, with FSU 4th. Five Pac-12 teams in the top 13.

And the Ducks cleaned up, run ruling Stanford again, this time, 9-0.

Re: Oregon Softball
No link, but the selections aren't going to be announced until tonight at 7 pm PT on ESPN2 (http://www.ncaa.com/championships/softb ... ampionship).
Would think the Ducks are a lock to host a Regional and, should they advance, also a Super Regional.

The Oregon Ducks have earned the No. 3 overall seed and will open the NCAA tournament Friday against Illinois-Chicago. Wisconsin and Missouri will play in the other half of the Eugene regional.
If the ducks advance to supers Kentucky is who they would play if everything goes like chalk.

Re: Oregon Softball
unlike last year, where only two pac-12 teams were seeded and the ncaa suspiciously pitted them against one another in the supers, five pac teams are seeded this year and only two (#6 wash, #11 utah) would meet if things go chalk. we can really pack OKC with west coast teams this year.
