That's kind of a bad area to put it in since you can't fit very many people into that parking lot, which makes it less grand. It's too bad they can't use the area they used last time since it gave a perfect view of Autzen and allowed a lot of people to crowd around the set.

They are probably worried about the weather, and how that might affect the wiring and stuff...I know they were having difficulty last year with some stuff cause it rained the nights before the game... maybe they think they will have less difficulty since there wont be any mud....I don't know...

Also the university had a part in the choice...maybe they thought it was the best spot to get a good view of our facilities and Autzen...

They had a shot from the parking lot on the news last night, and it was actually a really good view. With all of the rain, they don't want to rough up the soccer and practice fields anymore then they already are. Also if everything is on pavement, it's got to be easier to set up and take down for the Gameday crew. If they have the set set up in or near the entrance of the parking lot, there is a great view of the front of the Cas, the side of the Mo, and the "O" on the back of the scoreboard. And you could fit plenty of people in that area.

It might not seem like the ideal location but this is big for the university so I am sure they took their time and did their homework and come Saturday morning when the nation tunes into Gameday people will find out what all the talk is about when it comes to Oregon's facilities and fans!
