Really good news
We start next season:
Sep 1 - Bowling Green
Sep 8 - Portland State
Sep 15 - San Jose St
Unless Cristobal is the worst coach ever, we should start out 3-0 and have a nice little building block to get his/our feet wet.

Wow, that looks like an SEC schedule, sans the 4th cupcake mid-season.lukeyrid13 wrote:We start next season:

Re: Really good news
We better hope that the PAC12 kills it in their non-conference schedule to help bolster our SOS. Those 3 teams combined for 4 wins this year. Oregon's SOS will be one of the worst in the country next year.

Re: Really good news
Hey it worked for Wisconsin. If they win their conference they’re in the playoff.

^ and Washington the year prior. Meanwhile, teams like Ohio St who played and lost to Oklahoma get downgraded. It helps to win a big non Conference game but it's very detrimental to lose them and you'd be better off scheduling a crap team sadly.

Re: Really good news
Would rather we played decent teams in the beginning of the season. We didn't exactly set the world on fire when we had to make offensive adjustments against good teams this year. And Boise State basically owned the line of attack in the Bowl game. How do we know that Arroyo will be competent enough on his own to run a system that works?

Re: Really good news
Worst part is that every single one of these games will likely be on Pac-12 Network with some odd start times.

Re: Really good news
Also no reason to buy season tickets next year when you'd just lose a ton of money on those 3 games. Might as well just pay for the Stanford and UW tickets and that's about it.greenyellow wrote:Worst part is that every single one of these games will likely be on Pac-12 Network with some odd start times.

Re: Really good news
I imagine the AD is going to have to really cut prices to entice people to renew or rebuy season tickets with such a poor home slate.lukeyrid13 wrote:Also no reason to buy season tickets next year when you'd just lose a ton of money on those 3 games. Re: Really good news
Aren’t the Ducks going to start home and home with Ohio state in 2019?
I’m fine with next year schedule because, it give the staff time to mesh with the players plus recruiting to excite them that the Ducks will be facing off against team like Ohio State pretty soon.

I think we play Auburn in Arlington in 2019 and Ohio State Home and Home is 2020 or beyond.OreDucks01284 wrote:Aren’t the Ducks going to start home and home with Ohio state in 2019?
