This is going to be a tough game. Hopefully Satou is ok for the game tomorrow.greenyellow wrote:#4 UCLA vs. #1 Oregon 6:00 Saturday (Pac-12 Net)

Agreed, this is going to be tougher, mainly because UCLA has a team, rather than one player who dominates the ball. Bruins are also a physical team. Ducks handled them easily in LA, and of course were on their way in MKA before blowing the 22 point lead, can't afford the TO;s against the Bruins.

I think the ladies will be motivated to show the loss to UCLA was largely a fluke...SI will make it so..duckduckgoose wrote:This is going to be a tough game. Hopefully Satou is ok for the game tomorrow.greenyellow wrote:#4 UCLA vs. #1 Oregon 6:00 Saturday (Pac-12 Net)

But, Oregon's health is just hangin' on it seems.
Satou just seems to hit the floor about 5+ times per game. Can't fault her effort, but I wish she'd stay upright more often! Cazorla looked good but is apparently sick too. Oregon with multiple air balls against AZ...Almost nothing from the bench, Yeager 19 miutes with 1 ast and 2 fouls...That's gotta improve tomorrow.
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

I think just getting the minutes out of the bench without giving up too much of the lead is enough value. Yeager plays pretty tough defense and does a lot of intangibles. Gilden doesn’t fill up the stat sheet, but rarely makes costly errors. Giomi is a pretty effective defender against the less physical type posts and driving guards, but will probably get beat up by the Bruins bigs. I expect a lot from Gilden but just want the other two to spell the big five to keep them fresh.bigsugarduck wrote:I think the ladies will be motivated to show the loss to UCLA was largely a fluke...SI will make it so..duckduckgoose wrote:This is going to be a tough game. Bruins kicking our butts in the 3rd. They really clamped down defensively after we had 25 in the 1st and points have been hard to come by for us.

what's it take to get a foul call?
they are pulling players down, shoving with arms and legs, and they call fouls on us with barely a touch

With only eight bodies I think the team has to be tired as heck.
