Re: Holly Winterburn transferring
It was only a matter of time before there was a transfer. As of now, there's 13 players slated to be on the roster so it's not like they won't have depth. It'll be a little unproven but still fairly talented.

I will miss Holly. Before the face injury, you could see a lot of upside to her game. When healthy she could start for most PAC-12 teams. But you're right: we have such a stacked roster, it's all about playing time somewhere else.
Good luck, Holly!

Too bad, but not really surprising at all. The shooting really dipped near the end of the season but she can definitively play. With who is coming in, it makes sense. Good Luck!
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Lucy Cochrane is transferring also.

Re: Holly Winterburn transferring
Kinda got the feeling that Cochrane would transfer after not getting much playing time this past season after the non-conference schedule. Wouldn't be surprised if they lose someone else like Yeager due to injury issues and then go after a grad transfer or two to get some more experience in the rotation.

Re: Holly Winterburn transferring
Holly and Lucy showed potential talent, but, competition for playing time after starters will be tough. This team is loaded with talent.
Starting 5: Prince(I believe she was rated higher than Ruthy out of HS), Sabally(I've read some think she is better than her
sister. Wow!), and Boley up front. Guards will be Chavez and Destiny Slocum(okay we're slimy), unless 1 of the
talented incoming freshman is good enough.

Won't Shelley start alongside Chavez?

Yes, unless Slocum transfers in, which I think will happen.panamaslim wrote:Won't Shelley start alongside Chavez?

Maybe I regard Shelley too highly, but what I saw from her this year and with a full season under her belt in the system, I just couldn't see Slocum beating her out. If you're right and I'm wrong I will buy you breakfast at . . . oh, wait.

I also believe Shelley is great. But Slocum is really good. If you're right I buy and hope we can. Best case would be for one of the freshmen to win the spot, since they would have to be really great and it's possible. I think it will be a deep rotation with more people getting more minutes, except for Prince and Sabally.panamaslim wrote:Maybe I regard Shelley too highly, but what I saw from her this year and with a full season under her belt in the system, I just couldn't see Slocum beating her out.
