One of our offers, to 5-star G Payton Verhulst (Louisville) is now off the table. She was down to the Cardinals, Oregon and Oregon State. But a list of about 10, led perhaps by my favorite, Sonia Citron, also a 5-star 6-1 G, from Scarsdale, remains. Of course we already have Taylor Bigby, a Las Vegas commit.
But maybe the most intriguing on the list is G Mia Mastrov, Miramonte High School, where Sabrina attended. Two years ago she took a UV to Oregon. I could not find her in the top 150 on any of the major recruiting lists. I asked Miramonte ass't coach Clay Kallam about her and he said she is definitely a Pac12 player with a high bb IQ. Her father is Mark Mastrov, founder of 24 Hour Fitness and part owner of the Sacramento Kings. Kind of an interesting situation.
Guess I'm just reaching for things to discuss during these crazy times.

Thanks for your efforting. a "Pac-12 player"; it was really hard to judge the players on the other teams when they played the Ducks..... The high bb IQ is good. Hopefully, Citron will come through.panamaslim wrote:One of our offers, to 5-star G Payton Verhulst (Louisville) is now off the table. She was down to the Cardinals, Oregon and Oregon State. Even without said transfer in place, it is clear that KG is not dropping the expectations for next year by much. It puzzles me why so many people think a big fall will take place...Merganzer wrote:
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

Re: WBB Offers 2021
The, "big fall" that some have expressed is they probably won't win the conference. Stanford will be loaded, with returning All Pac-12 players as will Arizona, including the leading scorer from last season, the defensive POY and the addition of the 2020 ACC WBB, 6th "man", Trinity Baptiste. Possibly finishing in 3rd behind those stacked teams, would be a fall; from winning the season title 3 years in a row. But in no way does that constitute the team not being very good, and, as Graves says, with an additional player, a Final Four team.bigsugarduck wrote:Even without said transfer in place, it is clear that KG is not dropping the expectations for next year by much.
