#2 UCLA 19-1 @ #13 Oregon 26-2.
Hoping for a couple wins at home. Sweep would be too much to ask???

Oregon is #3. You have a typo. Hopefully, their bats are alive and the pitchers are dialed in.nogerO wrote:#2 UCLA 19-1 @ #13 Oregon 26-2.

Sorry, looked up the rankings on the ncaa site and they had RPI instead.Bigwaved wrote:Oregon is #3. You have a typo. Hopefully, their bats are alive and the pitchers are dialed in.nogerO wrote:#2 UCLA 19-1 @ #13 Oregon 26-2.

So I take it we'll face Garcia this time? Well she's not infallible, I see she is giving up about 29 Earned Runs a game. (Give or take 2 decimal points.)

Hell of a game for Yunez, 2-hit shutout. And you can be certain, the way things are going with this club and Lombardi's reputation as one of the best pitching coaches in the country, that she'll get another ace signed for next year.

So both of UCLA's losses this year are to Oregon.
Oregon put out the road map for beating UCLA for everyone to use now. You just need to hold a team that has .400 hitters 1-9 to 1 run or less. Then score 2 or more runs on about 3 good contacts during the game. Easy Peasy.
Fantastic effort, really enjoyed the game and the real fans missed with cardboard ones seemed to be really appreciated by the players.

Ouch, rough top of the first, 3 runs before the first out. ESPN game has got Garcia's full attention it appears. 2 run home run and she is going to pitch.

Poor call on a hit batsmen costs Oregon a great scoring opportunity. UCLA does not need the umpires help.

The Bruins have no holes in their lineup. The Ducks do. The pitching needs to be pretty spot on or it is trouble. They were not good enough today.

Game 4 pretty much follows this script. The pitcher is dominant early. Starts losing the zone late. An error, then a home run. Now they trail in the 6th.Bigwaved wrote:The Bruins have no holes in their lineup. The Ducks do. The pitching needs to be pretty spot on or it is trouble. They were not good enough today.
