The ads are getting out of control

Post by karlhungis »

These new hijack ads are pretty aggressive. We are creeping up on porn site levels of ad's on this site.

Huh, we shouldn't have any hijack ads. I'll check logs to see if we someone has hacked the site. I don't see such things. Can you take a screenshot of where it's located and PM it to me the next time it happens. Preferably one that isn't fully inappropriate.

Okay, I am being overly dramatic. They aren't quite full blown hijack ads. I will send you a pic though.

Yeah I see it on my phone, not computer. I'm adjusting a lot of the google adsense settings, but they take a couple hours to take effect sometimes. So I'll try again in a couple hours to see if it fixed it.

Those damn ads are at the top of each thread and I noticed today they are 3 times as large as usual, 4 inches high clear across my computer screen.

I've had new ads pop up on the bottom of my screen (MacBook and using safari FYI) in the past week or two. They take up probably the lower 1/5 of my screen

Those were annoying as they kept interrupting me whenever I tried to to multiple Tweet and YouTube embeds or link additions.

Yeah don't hesitate to let me know if things are messing with your user experience. Often times an hour of work can fix a lot of the issues.
