G Tyrone Williams is in the transfer portal. He played decently when given the PT but with Couisnard coming back, he would have been in a reserve role once again.

https://247sports.com/Player/Garwey-Dual-46132716/ He just decommitted from Providence. I'd rather have him than Bronny James.

C Kel'el Ware has entered the transfer portal. Big hole at the C spot now unless Dante stays.

Obviously Bittle, Ware and Dante weren’t all staying. If Dante comes back Ware leaving will have limited impact as Bittle can be the back-up Center. Ware put up good numbers this year and obviously has amazing potential but he didn’t seem to contribute a whole lot to winning. If Dante doesn’t come back then this transfer is a big loss.

Not too sad about Ware, he just seems to be another one of those talented bigs that thinks he’s better than he really is. I was kind of hoping he’d leave, with Bittle most likely returning and when we have coming in we should be fine next year in the post.

As it stands, the only big guys they have are Bittle and Evans. They're going to need at least two more big guys.OregonFan4Life wrote:Not too sad about Ware, he just seems to be another one of those talented bigs that thinks he’s better than he really is. Losing Ware sucks, especially since he’s staying in college and just doesn’t want to play here anymore. Don’t blame him though.

If Dante doesn’t come back it would definitely be helpful if Altman could land a transfer big that specializes in rebounding/defense, like a Jordan Bell or Kenny Wooten. As great as Dante was, a big with a great post game on offense just doesn’t seem to fit Altman’s style of coaching. If Bittle can be a stretch 4 or 5 with a defensive/rebounding specialist I think we’ll be better off.greenyellow wrote:As it stands, the only big guys they have are Bittle and Evans. Oquendo is someone that doesn't help their shooting issues so I'm not sure why he'd even be contacted.

Re: 2023-24 MBB Additions/Subtractions
No idea if they are in on him, but Hunter Dickinson just entered the portal, and I think would be a great fit should Dante leave. 7'1 and has a good inside/out game. Shot 42% from 3 this year. Obviously just about everyone will be in on him, so probably a longshot, but that's my pie in the sky transfer. Rare you get a star like that who enters the portal.
