I hope we avoid that freshman. Man, he dominated us, and that was with a healthy infield. Unless it was a very small concussion I would imagine Marder will rest up for the Washington trip, and who knows about Altobelli.

Horton stated after yesterday's game that Marder and Altobelli could be ready for Tuesday game. I don't know if he'll use them but I have a feeling he will if they are ready.oregontrack wrote:I hope we avoid that freshman. Man, he dominated us, and that was with a healthy infield. Excellent. This was in the Guard yesterday, too. Horton said all three should be okay for today.greenyellow wrote:Horton stated after yesterday's game that Marder and Altobelli could be ready for Tuesday game. Dare we dream a 40 win season?

Re: Oregon @ Portland (1 game series)
Heck, we should probably expect a 40 win season. We made OSU look like a HS team the last time our mid-week staffs met up, and we're better than both Washington and Cal. I'll go out on a limb and say we should take both series 2-1, giving us 5 more wins.

Re: Oregon @ Portland (1 game series)
If we were to win out, we could win as many games as we lost last year
"Huard's gonna go back to throw the ball. Sets up, looks, throws towards the corner of the endzone. It is... INTERCEPTED! INTERCEPTED! THE DUCKS HAVE THE BALL! Down to the 35! The 40! KENNY WHEATON'S GONNA SCORE!!! KENNY WHEATON'S GONNA SCORE!!! 20! THE 10! TOUCHDOWN!!! KENNY WHEATON, AN INTERCEPTION!!! THE MOST IMPROBABLE FINISH TO A FOOTBALL GAME!!!"

Re: Oregon @ Portland (Ducks win series 1-0)
Jones gets the win too in relief by giving up 0 ERs and he had no walks. He'll be a good one when his career is done here at Oregon.
