apparently their coach is a total bitchy beav and everybody has transferred away. There is a good chance they are left with two scholarship players, and that is IT.

Ouch!! They have to pay out her contract too. She'll make off with some pretty good dough.

over a million dollars! for a women's coach who left your team with literally less than nothing.

DeCarolis has made himself look incompetent with his handling of the situation. When you start seeing 5 players transfer out at one time, then you have to start looking into it. He said they fired her "without cause" but there were more than enough causes to fire her. Just a sign that he was unwilling to fire her with a chance that she may sue them.

No, doubt...The Beavs do need a change in direction..and the first move might be to get rid of DeCarolis.....5.9 Million dollar athletic program loss last year...Hmmmmm, that is quite impressive, in and of itself...

I don't think the losses are completely his fault, but he's not entirely blameless. There just isn't much interest in any sports besides football and even that is contained to the Pacific NW and Beaver alums across the country. No one cares about any other sports. They really don't have an overall good athletic department. Oregon has bettered itself in just about every sport and is making the postseason in almost every one. OSU still thinks of itself as a little program and that just doesn't work nowadays. Once Oregon moved past the little program mentality, the financial situation improved markedly.
