Interesting stuff from 247 Sports and the Oregonian regarding today's practice. They discuss stuff like the team's rugby-style tackling, number changes, injuries, and other observations from the available media period.

So glad we're going to rugby style. Pellum was so opposed to it.

Not sure if they were teaching it last year, but I was wondering if Oregon was going to go to that eventually since that seems to be where a lot of programs are headed.

Former UO head coach Mike Bellotti and some ex-UO assistants were on hand to watch practice. Cristobal invited Bellotti to address the team afterward, after talking to the players about how they represent not only themselves but past players and coaches, and those to come in the future, when they mount their defense of Oregon's home turf in Autzen Stadium. Bellotti hit on several issues relating to the upcoming start of the season, including the fact it will be his first in decades not participating as a player, coach or broadcaster. "I'm gonna be in the stands watching you guys," he said. "I'm gonna watch, and I want to be proud. And I want you guys to make me proud."

I never did like how Slick shut out the former assistants.

The running back position has to be the most interesting on the team this year. Every day seems like a different guy has a good day there. Still think cj is the guy if he gets healthy based on the Spring game, but will be very interesting nonetheless and I hope we can be great there like we always have been.

From how Cristobal was talking about the injuries to the RBs, it doesn't really sound like any of the injuries were serious and more just the staff being cautious of potential muscles tweaks that could get worse if not rested enough now.
