"When you visit, when you've been here, when you truly know what the place is about, when you truly know what the foundation is, the small, little storms, you know, won't take you down," Fickell said of the trouble surrounding the program.
"Tressel is permitted to work with the team all spring, throughout preseason practice and even during the period of his suspension — just like normal. He is only required to stay away from the Buckeyes on the days of home games against Akron, Toledo, Colorado and Michigan State and the road game at Miami, Fla."
Wow... That's some tough love, right there.

Re: More Tressel
So what is he exactly missing? Nothing. A more fitting punishment would have been for him to stay away from the team entirely during game preparations and the games.woundedknees wrote:http://www.wtov9.com/sports/27380273/detail.html

Ya, it is one strange example of a suspension. Oh ya dude go ahead and do 95% of what you normally do, you just can't be at the game itself.greenyellow wrote:It's like being told to sit in the corner for five minutes.L Perry wrote:Yes, it is rather the joke, is it not? The only thing Tressel really lost in the way of money was part of his bonus from last season. (He was in line fir $400,000+.)

And with how much he's made over the years, I doubt he's really going to be missing that bonus.woundedknees wrote:The only thing Tressel really lost in the way of money was part of his bonus from last season. (He was in line fir $400,000+.)
