We did recruit him, I saw him walk into my basement one night and Duck24 tapped me on the shoulder and told me who it was. Man, if I knew then that he could make Charlie Sheen look like Ms. Daisy we could have had a riot that nightbriarduck wrote:http://boards.ign.com/college_football/ ... 9508/p1/?1

ESPN has a pretty good story on this. I got a kick out of how above the law you are in Tennessee if you are a football player.

It seems to happen at a lot of schools where players can get away with a lot of stuff.karlhungis wrote:ESPN has a pretty good story on this. I got a kick out of how above the law you are in Tennessee if you are a football player.

He's from Hillsboro, not surprised one bit. Sorry for generalizing, but the people I know from Hillsboro are in a similar boat as Ainge.

Wasn't Ainge related to former South Eugene and BYU star, Danny Ainge?

Ainge is doing an "exclusive" interview with 1080's Dusty "Fan Man" Harrah on Satruday. Dusty grew up with Erik and played football with him at Glenco....
Here he talks about his relationship with Erik...

That's quite the read on ESPN. I hope he can climb back out of this.
"I was taking 25 Percocets at a time. Five hours later, I'd do it again. Another eight hours, and I'd do it again."
That's some serious use there. He wasn't messing around.

Surprised that he's still alive. Taking that many pills would kill most people.amazon wrote:That's quite the read on ESPN. I hope he can climb back out of this.

I remember him visiting UO. I was in the Barnhart and he was "friendly" with a girl on the other side of the hall from Glencoe. Somehow they all ended up at mine and 07's frat house and the guy was definitely full of himself but wasn't too bad. FWIW Brian Paysinger and Simi Toeaina were the two douches I ever met from the football team (no surprise neither ended up doing anything with their careers). After having a few non-alcoholic beverages (since it's a dry campus lol) we chatted a little bit. He was part of the class that was flown around on Phil Knight's private plane, I remember that vividly. Also said that he really was only considering UCLA and Tennessee and raved about his Tennessee visit. Sucks to hear that about him, or anyone though. Hope he stays straight in his recovery.
