so it turns out giving a roster spot to ex-uo sprinter vernell warren was a good decision. kid flew around third.

always good to get the first one. kudos to keudell for bouncing back from a rough 1st inning. kind of just 'one of those innings', two of the four hits never left the infield. but he didn't implode, and he took command. good relief work by gold, good job by the offense staying patient against a very good pitcher and taking advantages of walks. we scored 5 runs on 5 hits, long beach had 4 runs on 10 hits.
