toughest two week stretch of the year, anyway. @ stanford the following week will be just as tough.

3-0 ducks, top 3
hoffman rbi single, drives in garlick in the 2nd; jones goes yard in the 3rd, bringing alto along for the ride.

with two outs, hoffman walks, alto doubles to get them both in scoring position, then payne doubles them both home.
adam plutko was an all-conference pitcher in 2011 who, if memory serves, pitched a 2-hit shutout against us last year at pk. i was not expecting this kind of run production today.

i follow this team pretty closely. after the utah and texas state series, i really thought we were staring down an 0-9 record over the upcoming next three weeks (arizona state, ucla, stanford). that we're 4-0 almost halfway through it astounds me. pitching has been unreal, and nice to see the bats flex some muscle tonight.

Pitching, great yes, but hitting showing up against a team like UCLA who constantly puts out strong pitching. VERY impressive.oregontrack wrote:ducks win 6-2!

Great win for the Ducks, I still want to win this series though.

Re: Oregon @ UCLA (Ducks lead series 1-0)
It's pretty crazy too that we have the 2nd worst BA in the Pac-12.
10 out of 12 teams have a BA of .288 or better. Oregon is at .259, ouch. Although it helps we rarely hit in double plays...
Grounded into DP
1. USC 26
2. Washington 20
3. Arizona State 17
Utah 17
Arizona 17
6. Oregon State 16
UCLA 16
8. Stanford 13
9. Washington State 12
10. California 10
11. Oregon 5
