What a player. I thought he was gonna be pretty good but he's 10x better than I thought he would be. DA put the game in his hands down the stretch & he came through in a huge way. Even with the 2 clutch FTs to seal the win. Great win.uostudent wrote:Dotson is incredible

Huge win. Dotson was amazing. Artis stepped up and played great D. Emory played great. Ben Carter was a nice surprise too. Carter is talented and is going to be a great in the pick and roll with Artis, once those two develop some chemistry.
Can't say enough about Dotson though. This guy is the complete package.

I just heard on the radio that Lloyd and Artis combined for 3 turnovers all game long, that's the difference between this team and the last two teams.

Quotes from the UNLV rivals board
all the posters must be at the game. Bennett is going to be fun to watch for the next few years
Their freshmen looked to be COACHED quite a bit better than ours
I'll probably get persecuted for saying this, but it doesn't seem like Coach Rice has much control over this team.
Sound familiar? Not a bad observation at all...Rice has done nothing so far. I don't want to hear about recruiting.
This team struggles with the basic fundamentals.
We lost for one reason - Outcoached.
This is looking like Memphis - excellent players with questionable coaching.

Great game! Nice to see the way the team came together after Woods fouled out. Def. better off than we were
last season. Let's hope we can continue it tomorrow against Cinci.

Mayhap the kids who stuck around possess a decent work ethic.

What a finish! I caught the final few minutes of the game (scabbed it off of the internet). Great job.

Dotson was awesome. Artis the real deal. we have the makings of a decent team. Bennett was a beast for unlv, but would he play enough defense for Altman?

I agree with UOstodent, it was nice to have an announcer that not only knew as much about basketball as I do, but quite a bit more. Didn't have to deal with all the worthless, needless things that are usually said.buckmarkduck wrote:uostudent wrote:Oregon will play Cincinnati tomorrow at 7:30.

Great effort as a whole, but I thought Carter and Dotson really stepped up big towards the end. Emory did have a couple big shots too
