Oregon opponents

Post by UOducksTK1 »

Vandy beat Xavier, Cincy is 8-0, UNLV plays at Cal this weekend, would be nice if UNLV wins. A top 25 road non-conference win would be a huge boost on our resume

Nice. Vandy is really young, talented & Stallings is a good coach. I wouldn't be surprised if they were a lot better by seasons end & that win looks a lot better.

agreed, vandy's kind of the forgotten (potential) ace up the sleeve. if they can right the ship and make enough noise in the sec, suddenly we look a lot better. if cinci keeps winning that loss doesn't hurt us whatsoever.

nevada has been VERY disappointing. nebraska started pretty well, but got beaten like a rented mule at home against a short-handed creighton team last night.

UNLV barely beat Cal. They need to keep winning.

UNLV's RPI should should get better as the season goes on. The MWC has some very good teams that will boost their RPI if they can get some wins. Oregon won't have to make up as much ground as last season in the eyes of the committee if they can win out in non-conference anyway.

Arizona is legit, good to have a top 10 team in the Pac-12 this year.

Cincy has a good chance of going undefeated into conference play. Have Xavier, Wright State, and #17 New Mexico at home.

If Oregon wins out non-conference, I see them only needing to go .500 in conference play and maybe win 1 tournament game to guarantee a spot in the Tournament.

we'll need to do better than that, but luckily that shouldn't be a problem.

Based on what I've seen so far -- both from the Ducks and conference teams to this point -- I would be disappointed with anything less than about 12-6 for the Ducks in conference this season.
