Aaron Gordon puts Oregon back on his list!

Post by woundedknees »

This is interesting, to say the least.

Adam Zagoria ‏@AdamZagoria
Aaron Gordon's HS coach confirms he's now considering Oregon in addition to UW, Arizona and UK

http://zagsblog.com/articles/aaron-gord ... n-to-list/

"Aaron Gordon, one of the top uncommitted players in the Class of 2013, has a new school on his list."

"The 6-foot-8 Gordon out of San Jose (Calif.) Archbishop Mitty has added Oregon to Arizona, Kentucky and Washington."

"Kennedy said Gordon likes Oregon’s “facilities, players (especially Dominic Artis), coaching staff and he’s liked their style of play.”

Could this be Altman's "WOW" commit for 2013?

Pipe dream, right?

Imagine if the Ducks could draw Gordon, then add 2014 sf Stanley Johnson next cycle?

It's nice to see Oregon basketball get a little momentum in recruiting. With Woods and Kazemi gone, there should be plenty of opportunity for this kid to start. Watching Artis get here and start probably didn't hurt.

while that's nice and all we already have 4 commits and I might be wrong but I don't know if we have room since we only have 4 seniors unless we pull a scholorship

MBB gets a total of 13 so there's still 1 open.

I suspect if the twins flip to Puppies that's where he goes, but if we keep the twins hopefully they go to work on Gordon

Would be an awesome sign! Not trying to be a negative nancy but, when I see Kentucky on his list I don't see us having much hope.

Still a long shot. I think UW actually has the best chance, since his dad and Romar went to school together. However, at Oregon he starts right away and plays big minutes. Plus Altman will develop him better and runs an offense that is somewhat useful for transition to the NBA. I actually think Oregon is the best decision for him.

He said we still have a lot of work to do to catch up, but nice to be in his top 5.

Amazing what winning does...

Saw on Scout that he is announcing on April 3 during the McDirty all-star game and we're in the final 4 still.

Good to know. Maybe another chat room during the game?

The same guy from the sac bee who said Armstead was going to pick UO last year, tweeted that he won't be surprised if Gordon picks the ducks! This is a guy who's very well connected down in that area, and for him to say that makes me think we have a lot better chance then people think.

This year's 36th edition of the game will be played April 3 at the United Center in Chicago and televised live at 9:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Straight from the site.
Here our the rosters too if anyone is interested.
