hambright is going to have a difficult time staying on the field with the way tolman's maximizing his opportunities. he's started all of three times and he's come up with big hits in all of them. i'm really not seeing a reason he shouldn't start tomorrow, i want to see what this freshman can do.

i'm probably going to jinx them, but sunday has been our best day each week so far. irvin's managed to beat teams reed and thorpe couldn't, and our offense seems to have big days. here's hoping for that to continue...

Nice to see them swinging the bats. 12 hits today, hopefully they can keep it up and keep this momentum going.

Good test for Irvin actually. Will be fun to see him in his first Pac-12 game.

Ducks lose 5-3. Altobelli is hitting .323. Why is he batting 9th? Why not flip him with Payne, who is really struggling and hitting second.

we'll call it a half-jinx. we lost, but tolman went yard. until proven otherwise, he's our new 3B.

Yea Tolman's looked solid out there and obviously swings the bat well. We need someone other then Healy with some power. Hope he keeps it up and is as good as he's looked.

I didn't think Irvin pitched bad today, USC swung it well. We took 2 of 3 in an away Pac 12 series. Could have been worse. Yes, it would have been great to sweep but it is what it is......

Next up is Arizona at home next weekend.

Go Ducks!
