Ducks get nothing again. Top 6th, still 8-3 Rice.

The pitching has been so inconsistent this year, it's unbelievable!

Once you get outside Irvin, Thorpe, Cleavinger, and Sherfy, you never know what's going to show up. Tonight was just one of those nights the pitching wasn't there. Season is likely over unless Oregon can catch fire the last couple innings. Kind of unbelievable that Oregon got to 48 wins after so many injuries and inconsistencies this season.OregonFan4Life wrote:The pitching has been so inconsistent this year, it's unbelievable!

I agree, at times this team looked like a CWS team, and other times nowhere close. The big questions is, who will return next year? It'd be great if Sherfie and Thorpe do, but I'm not counting on it.greenyellow wrote:Once you get outside Irvin, Thorpe, Cleavinger, and Sherfy, you never know what's going to show up. Is Thorpe eligible for the draft since I thought you had to be a JR or turn 21 by a certain date? Bigger questions may come on offense with Healy and Thomas likely to go. Horton needs a good amount of the signed recruiting class to come in and contribute if they end up losing a lot over the off-season.OregonFan4Life wrote:I agree, at times this team looked like a CWS team, and other times nowhere close. Meh, 3 outs away. Rice has the bats rolling.

Sucks this may be the last we see of Sherfy as a Duck and it's in a game where he's not in his normal role.

That backup catcher has been killer tonight at 4-4. Game and season over. Not the way you'd want to see Oregon go out.

Come on, you can't blame the pitching. They are what got us this far. I blame the offense, for not doing a damn thing in game 1 against rice.

Another disappointing way for Oregon to end the season, at home too. Let's hope this motivates the returning players to perform better next year. We will miss Sherfie!

Last year's motivation didn't help them advance any further so maybe it's best to forget this final game going into next year.OregonFan4Life wrote:Another disappointing way for Oregon to end the season, at home too.
