Draft
#35 Matt Krook 6-4, 200 L/L P (Will Sign)
#61 Chance Sisco 6-2, 193 L/R C/SS
#83 Patrick Murphy 6-4, 195 R/R P (Signed with Blue Jays $500k)
#121 Jake Sweaney 6-3, 180 R/R C (Signed with the Phillies)
#124 Cody Bellinger 6-4, 180 L/L 1B/P (Agreed to sign with Dodgers $500k)
#360 Dane McFarland 6-4, 210 R/R OF (Will Sign)
#514 Greg Harris 6-2, 175 R/R P
#1121 Francis Christy L/R C
#1170 Mark Karaviotis 6-1, 176, R/R SS
How high will Healy and Sherfy go?
I'll go Healy mid 2nd round and Sherfy late 3rd round.
Highest picked though will be LHP signee Matt Krook. Lots of mocks have him going to Giants late first round.

Re: Draft
Oregon is going to lose a lot of it's top-end talent from this recruiting class, especially the main position players that are needed to restock the depth in the infield.

Re: Draft
Well its also why for baseball a recruiting class ranking should only be done on players that make it to the school. Its nice that we can go after some of these kids, but if they don't up in playing in an Oregon uni, then it doesn't matter how highly regarded they were and that the coaches went after the right kid because he's not a Duck.greenyellow wrote:Oregon is going to lose a lot of it's top-end talent from this recruiting class, especially the main position players that are needed to restock the depth in the infield.
Its a fickle process for sure.

And thanks cordy, hopefully a surprise recruit stays. But money is hard to pass on.

Re: Draft
Saw this on 247:
Matt Krook went 35th overall to the Marlin-Money Slot is $1,467,000
Chance Sisco went 61st overall to the Orioles-Money Slot is $844,000
"I love Oregon, love the coaches up there, but I think at this point I'm ready to play pro ball," Krook said. "I just want to get my career started. Both me and [advisor Matt Sosnick] knew what it would take to decide and it fell in the range."

Surprised Sherfy has gone yet and it's the 8th round.
