Francis Christy
I've heard that all of the incoming freshmen are in school taking summer courses (including Krook) but Christy is not. Not sure if any story there or not, but hope he hasn't decided to go the JC route in order to be eligible for the draft next year. Has anyone heard anything?
I did find an interesting note about him. Apparently last year UO offered him a 100% scholarship to leave hs early and come play for the Ducks last year. Thought that was interesting as they already had Graham coming in.

Re: Francis Christy
Hope he makes it. He's probably the most talented recruit from this class.

Not a good sign here. No mention of him in today's post about the incoming freshmen.

Apparently Christy ended up at Palomar City College, same place as ex Duck Eric Sapp. Not sure why.

Wow, that's really odd. I figured if he didn't come to UO, it'd only be because of MLB getting in the way.

Re: Francis Christy
JC players can enter the draft after 2 years instead of the typical 3 for 4-year school players. Sucks to lose another talented player like this. Oregon had a top-10 recruiting class and probably only got maybe half of it in. Not sure about Oregon's depth with all the defections due to the MLB Draft and transfers.uosportsguy01 wrote:Apparently Christy ended up at Palomar City College, same place as ex Duck Eric Sapp. Not sure why.

Thought that's what it was but it just didn't seem right when I was typing it.oregontrack wrote:JC players can declare after 1 year.
