Taggart gives a good interview. Regarding the QB situation, both Allen and Lee were more respected than Manny Wilkins(?) before we played them. I think ASU runs a more dynamic offense but I don't know that their QB is necessarily better. That being said, I'm still scouring the internet trying to find a replay of their game so I can give a more honest appraisal.

Wilkins wanted to come to Oregon but we passed. I think that's the year we took Mahalak.

Considering all the Ducks' win streaks vs. Pac-12 opponents that were busted last season, the one that still remains is ASU: 10 straight (beginning in 2005; they didn't meet in 2013 or 2014).

So no stats or evidence? Who's the arse, a guy who screams "trap" or someone who is okay with people saying we could lose if given evidence to the fact. So far ASU OL stinks, the running game is horrible and their D is as bad as our last year, and they will be without their best D player.

Dying to watch it. Unfortunately I need an internet version of it and there doesn't appear to be one uploaded anywhere at this time. Please post your impressions.

Fun stat for those wondering ASU is allowing 5 sacks a game, good for 126 in the country. UO has given up 3, and at least 1 was Herbert's fault. Our pass blocking is phenomenal.

ASU D is giving up 37.5 ppg and 505.3 yds. UO leads the PAC 12 with 56 ppg and 609 ypg.

They give up 338 ypg through the air and are last in the confrence with 2 int.

ASU 3rd down D is 12, giving up 54.5% while UO it tops giving up 21.3%

Are you trying to convince us Wilkins is better than Allen?
Possibly.

I hope we score more than 7 points in the second half.

Allen was really, really bad. Wilkins will have a MUCH better game than Allen did. That being said, Wilkins isn't a great QB. He runs the read option pretty well, does really well with the mesh but I don't know how much reading he does. He doesn't throw over the middle and most of his passes to the outside he really floats out there. His deep pass is not accurate either. His main weapon is his ability to run, which will be a challenge that our defense hasn't faced yet.

It's funny you say that Karl, I was scrolling through the asu site, and their fans see to think he's scarred to run. They are very critical of him in the run option, and say everyone knows he doesn't want to run and D don't respect that he will run.

I think that is a fair criticism based off of the TTU game. He seems to hand off about 80 - 90% of the time but once in a while he doesn't and he seems to get a decent gain. It's just something we haven't faced yet this year. I don't think he is going to take over the game or anything. I just didn't articulate it very well.
