Dillon and the Grizzlies up on the Warriors at the half. I read a great article on him today:
https://www.grizzlybearblues.com/2021/5 ... zzlies-nba
Always like to hear of Ducks being appreciated in their new environment. It seems like Dillon always draws the toughest defensive assignments, and is considered a 'heart and soul of the team' kind of player - much like he was when he was here.
Note the video in the article in which Brooks and Lillard get into it. I think that was during that two-game sweep the Grizzlies put on the Blazers in Portland a little while back. Funny to see those two in particular going at it, both with their ties to Oregon.

Dillon joined some pretty elite company by scoring 30+ in his first playoff game. Devin Booker and Trae Young did the same today too.

Louis King won the Summer League MVP. I really hope he’s able to get established in the league. He was the epitome of a player getting bad draft advice, and could’ve been a 1st rounder if he had stuck around.

Was Joe Young also the summer league MVP a while back?

It's a little more impressive when a non-guard does it. Anyway, it's better than not being summer league MVP.

Re: Ex-Ducks NBA Status
Anybody watching the NBA playoffs? I have been basically rooting for teams with former ducks. For the finals, I DVR the game and fast forward to when Pritchard is on the floor.
He hustles like crazy on defense (but his size is an issue) and keeps the ball moving on offense (much more likely to pass than to create his own shot, and if the ball is going to Tatum or Brown, it is not coming back). He probably doesn't have a future as a starter in the league, which is too bad, because he's fun to watch. Still bummed about him being robbed of one last NCAA tourney run.

I agree with everything you said, and I do the same thing. I find myself rooting for the Celtics just so Pritchard gets a ring. I'm not sure how long he can play the high-energy-guy-off-the-bench role. Hopefully he can get a little more deadly with that step-back three.73duck wrote:Anybody watching the NBA playoffs?
