He's in, I doubt he cares.greenyellow wrote:Hopefully someone throws Saban's own words about only conference champions should be in the CFP in his face.
12 teams has always been my preferred system:GrandpaDuck wrote:Pac-12 and Big-10 need to immediately withdrawal from the playoff system. Force them to fix it or scrap it. Hire Jimmy Sexton negotiate their re-entry into an 8 or 12 team playoff.
Just like FCS playoffs ^^ they have been doing great with 12 teams playoff. That’s what NCAA should have done in the first place.Zyme wrote:12 teams has always been my preferred system:GrandpaDuck wrote:Pac-12 and Big-10 need to immediately withdrawal from the playoff system. Top 4 seeds have bye
Every conference winner gets in, 2 at large slots
except in your scenario, you are essentially giving 4 SEC teams a bye the first week.Zyme wrote:12 teams has always been my preferred system:GrandpaDuck wrote:Pac-12 and Big-10 need to immediately withdrawal from the playoff system. Only because you're thinking of this in terms of 4 deserving teams to play for a national championship. If you expand your thoughts to 8 deserving teams, the vision changes a bit. Doesn't USC, Wisconsin and UCF deserve a shot to see if they are better (on the field) than the designated 4 teams? Certainly, those teams are just a worthy as Ohio State or Alabama. Wisconsin has a tougher schedule than Alabama, only one loss to a conference champion in the CCG and that loss was closer than Alabama's loss to a CCG loser who had 3 losses. USC had a bad loss EARLY, but came on late and is capable of beating any of the teams in the field. UCF hasn't been beat, (although a weak schedule is part of that) but how do we know for sure if they wouldn't take down one of these teams (or more) similar to Boise State beating Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl years ago? How does a sport crown a champion without knowing if they truly were the best team? Needs to be 8 teams...get rid of the money grabbing bowl officials and fix this broken system!Duck07 wrote:Actually I find this Final 4 another reason we don't need to expand. It's not like Alabama's weak ass schedule makes them a deserving team, nor does the blowout in Iowa for OSU. We're arguing about who is the most worthy 4th team, not the 1st or 2nd.
Sec vs SEC would be the epitome of a FU in my mind (and unlike normal I don't mean Florida University).UOducksTK1 wrote:Clemson vs OK would be great just so we don't get any SEC after getting two teams in the playoffs.
