Donte Williams likely ends up as the CB coach, so the only remaining positions are RB, TE, OLB, ST, and possibly OL if Cristobal thinks he needs someone else helping out there with him being the HC.GrantDuck wrote:With dead period coming to a close, hope we get a RB/DB/TE/ coaches soon!
Special teams can come whenever, but that's very important after I felt Taggart neglected that.

I don't think RB coach is as important since we already have 2 rbs signed. Same with DB, actually.

At this point, getting the OLB and TE coaches are most important since that's where the most of the unsigned recruits are located.Phenom wrote:I don't think RB coach is as important since we already have 2 rbs signed. Same with DB, actually.

Former Fusky Cort Dennison seems like a good candidate for OLB if Williams is moved to CB.

With the dead period now over and visits starting up again this week, it's been really quiet on the hiring front. I sorta expected a few more names to pop up once the coaching convention ended.

More from The Scoop Mastro, considered one of the creators of the Pistol offense at Nevada where he spent 11 seasons, coached one year at UCLA before Mike Leach hired him when he arrived at Washington State. Mastro was selected by former winners as the 2010 FootballScoop Running Backs Coach of the Year and has been a finalist multiple times since.karlhungis wrote:Luring a RB coach from an air raid offense?Anatinae wrote:Cristobal reportedly pursuing WSU RB coach Jim Mastro.

Two more S&C hires: Matthew Fyle, who's coming from UGA as well, and Shaud Williams, who's coming from Wisconsin.
