In their first game of the PVCC, Oregon defeated Houston, 1-0. After scoring in double digits their first six games, the Ducks won a nail biter against the Cougars. Oregon managed to get 5 hits in the game, with back to back singles in the first inning by Rhodes and Svekis producing the only run, as Oregon would leave 6 stranded. It was all the Ducks needed however as Kleist moved to 3-0, striking out 7 and only giving up 1 hit. Tomorrow, the Ducks start off against Rutgers at 3 pm, and it's Texas at 6 pm, Saturday, they meet #15 Ole Miss at 6 pm.

Second consecutive shutout for the Ducks. Unlike the pitcher's duel yesterday, this was more like we've come to expect as the Ducks run ruled Rutgers 10-0 The Ducks started fast, getting 5 in the first inning, highlighted by DJ Sanders's 2 run homer, her 5th of the season. Later tonight, the Ducks face Texas.

Make it 3 straight shutouts for the Ducks in the PVCC; this time 8-0 over Texas. Miranda Elish handled the pitching for the Ducks in this one, allowing 3 hits, no walks, and 7 strikeouts in the 5 inning run rule win. DJ Sanders hit her 6th home run of the season, and Jenna Lilly had 4 RBI's. The 9-0 Ducks face #15, Ole Miss tomorrow.

Oregon loses a heartbreaker to Mississippi 1-0 in 9 innings. MK had 16 strike outs in 8.1 innings, two shy of the team record. In international rules each extra inning starts with a runner on second base, so it only takes a well place hit to score that runner. Phenomenal start to the season so far.

That was a tough one. Kleist picked up the first hit back to her, tossed it to first, than struck out the next 8 in a row. Four hits, 2 by Jenna Lilley and Shannon Rhodes was all the offense the Ducks could produce.
