Both teams are shooting like garbage. Oregon would absolutely be killing them with how they're rebounding if they shot even a hint better.

Oregon needs to really stop fouling on all of WSU's shots. Paul White has 3 fouls because of this. He needs to realize he's not a natural shot-blocker.

Ducks down 2 at half. Oregon had them the on ropes but went cold on offense and then couldn't stop fouling WSU on their drives. I'm sure Altman is not happy with their effort so far.

Re: Oregon @ WSU (Thu 6 PM ESPN2)
we could end up winning by 20 for all i know.
but let it not go unsaid that that was the most ridiculous half of basketball of the year. we played better against stanford than we did just now, the cougs are just abhorrently coached, are uncharacteristically cold from three, and pass the basketball around like they’ve never played together.
cougs have more and-1 opportunities tonight than we would have in entire seasons under ernie.

For about 3 minutes the Ducks had a 15-0 run, looked sharp. For the other 17, this looks like a pick-up game.

Re: Oregon @ WSU (Thu 6 PM ESPN2)
We seriously play 5v8 every single night because Altman refuses to lean in refs. It's just hard to watch. We can get hammered on a drive and get no whistle, while Flynn falls down on every drive and gets the call every time, regardless of contact. Altman doesn't speak up, so it keeps happening. We didn't commit twice as many fouls as WSU in that half, but that's what the box score shows. It's just absurd.

Bad foul by Wooten. Needs to learn not to bite on fakes so much.

Oregon needs to wake up as they gifted WSU an easy basket on that missed FT and steal.

Re: Oregon @ WSU (Thu 6 PM ESPN2)
officiating has had zero impact on this game. how many times have we failed to secure the ball and let wazzu strip it from behind? 3? 4? lazy, lazy teams do not get the benefit of iffy 50/50 plays.
to say nothing of the fact that we are playing the cougs, in front of like forty people, and the opposing coach is ernie kent. Altman not throwing a tantrum is not costing us fouls.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Paul White played about 4 minutes in the first half because of foul trouble. Wooten is in early foul trouble too. If you don't think that that has effected the game then I don't know what to tell you. You're clueless.Thurston wrote:officiating has had zero impact on this game. how many times have we failed to secure the ball and let wazzu strip it from behind? 3? 4? lazy, lazy teams do not get the benefit of iffy 50/50 plays.
