I thought this was interesting. UW, who has been outfitted by Nike since 1997 and with whom UW has a contract until June 2019, will decide between Nike and Adidas, perhaps within the next few weeks. Obviously, many UW fans would love for UW to not be a Nike school because of the Ducks, but I was surprised at how many posters in the comments section to the above article aren't necessarily that rabid about UW changing to Adidas.

I hope they go with Adidas. Want to see if they make already ugly unis even uglier.

I think that's a near-certainty. Not to say Nike is perfect, but Adidas has some weird uniform templates/materials that make certain uniforms look cheap and/or ugly. If I had to rate the different uniform suppliers, it'd go Nike, Under Armour, and then Adidas.

Adidad has actually stepped up their football game considerably.

So UW is going to Adidas after agreeing to a 10-year, $119 million deal. Adidas has to overpay to get anyone of note and this is another case of this.

Now the UO needs to go back to Uncle Phil and demand a renegotiation of their Nike contract!
