That’s the 3rd or 4th time he has done that. They should have a couple more picks. Herbert just tries to throw it 100 miles an hour in spots he shouldn’t force it .OregonFan4Life wrote:Oh Herbert. Still stares down receivers WAY too much.

Took a while but 21-6 at halftime is okay, see how they come out the second half

He just didn't see that defender . Mario was right about the lacking consistency hopefully they can get some momentum in the 2nd half.

I think the clock running down and us not having any timeouts helped accentuate and accelerate the need to get the pass out quickly in that spot. He could have thrown it out of bounds but at best we only had one more shot at points on the next play so that is why he was willing to try and thread the needle on that throw.brich75 wrote:That’s the 3rd or 4th time he has done that. Seeing the replay he also seemed late, maybe it’s just the coaching and WR inconsistency. I think Herbert has the best arm in Oregon history except for maybe Joey but if he had those tiny things down, he’d be at the same level as Mariota. He very well may clean those things up and be the elite QB I know he can be.brich75 wrote:That’s the 3rd or 4th time he has done that. They should have a couple more picks. FYI, Clemson didn't score for the first 1.5 quarters of their game against Georgia Southern. I think we will be just fine in this game. It'd be nice to have a little better execution but we don't need to stress too much.

I just tuned in for the last drive of the half. I was reading the thread on the way home and I thought we were losing by two touchdowns!
They look bored and unfocused.
Hopefully they come out fired up in the second half and put them away.

Really? I know I post very frequently but I didn’t feel like I was any more negative than other posters. OK I’ll be less negative if that’s what you want, you are a mod right?greenyellow wrote:Mind turning down the negativity a bit. #6 Wisconsin just lost to BYU at home. Missed a chip shot field goal to tie.

One of those could've been better, could've been worse halves.

Herbert is just fine.
He's not Mariota, he will throw some ints but also he gets a lot more big play td passes
I liked the passes to the RBs, letting them scamper

I guess this second half will be a good inacator of the coaching staffs ability to motivate and make adjustments

Very true, I don’t expect us to ever have another Mariota. Herbert is still very good and I’m glad we have him.Duckenstein wrote:Herbert is just fine.
